Apple Caramel

           Let me tell you an interesting story behind this recipe. Well, I was shopping for good quality strawberries and unfortunately, there weren’t any. I’m not surprised because after all they are not in season. Then I passed by these good-looking apples and boy did they give me such cravings! A little info:  besides the known association of red with courage,violence and bravery, it has that other side. It can also bee seen as stimulating and lively, very friendly. Also apples contain fiber and antioxidants that relieve stress. It also contains a lot of nutrients that help prevent chronic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Maybe that’s why I was attracted to those apples. Not only is it good for the body, it is also a stress reliever.

           This recipe is really a no-brainer and is just meant to satisfy your cravings ala minute! Click the dessert for the video.

Apple Caramel

Ingredients:

1 piece of red apple

1/8 cup of refined sugar

1/8 cup water

1 tbsp of glucose

1 tsp milk

Procedure:

  1. Combine water,sugar,glucose and milk and heat in a saucepan. Boil till it turns amber.
  2. It’ll be ready once it’s slightly thick enough. NOTE: Caramel thickens even more as it cools down.
  3. Dip and coat sliced apples then set aside.
  4. Plate with candies. Serve.Enjoy
